How to add a watermark to a photo
This free watermark maker adds your name, website or logo to a photo so people know who made it. Use a text watermark or upload a logo, place it in a corner, the center or anywhere you like, make it transparent and rotate it, or repeat it across the whole image. It runs in your browser.
How to add a watermark to a photo
- Upload your photo (up to 10 MB).
- Type your watermark text or upload a logo image.
- Choose the position, size, opacity and rotation.
- Turn on Repeat Watermark to tile it over the whole photo if you want.
- Click Download to save the watermarked PNG.
Text and logo watermarks
A text watermark can be 12 to 200 px tall, in any color, with an optional border around the letters so it shows on light and dark areas. A logo watermark uses any image you upload; a PNG with a transparent background looks best. Set its size with the Logo Size slider.
Place the watermark at the top left, top right, center, bottom left or bottom right, or pick a custom spot with X and Y sliders. Opacity goes from 0 to 100 percent (50 percent by default) and rotation from minus 180 to 180 degrees.

Remove mode
The tool also has a simple Remove mode for your own images: paint over a small mark and the tool fills it with the colors around it. It works best on small marks over plain areas. It is not an AI remover, and you should only remove watermarks from images you own or have the right to edit.
Tips
- A repeated, rotated watermark is the hardest to crop out.
- Keep the original, unwatermarked photo safe; the watermark cannot be taken off later.
- Use the same position and opacity on every photo for a consistent brand.
