This free profile picture maker turns any photo into a clean PFP for Discord, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp or GitHub. Crop it into a circle or another shape, add a border and a background, then download it in one or several sizes at once. Everything runs in your browser.
How to make a profile picture
- Upload a photo (drag and drop, click or paste; up to 10 MB).
- Choose a shape: Circle, Rounded, Square, Hexagon or Octagon.
- Move and zoom the photo with the Zoom, X and Y sliders and rotate it if needed.
- Add a border, a background and an optional glow.
- Select one or more sizes and click Generate, then download your PFPs.
Shapes, borders and backgrounds
Pick from five shapes and frame them with a solid, gradient, dashed or double border from 1 to 30 px. The background behind the shape can be transparent, a solid color, a two color gradient or a blur of your own photo with a soft dark overlay, a popular look for creator avatars. A glow in any color makes the picture stand out in dark mode apps.
Your photo keeps its proportions: it is scaled to fill the shape without stretching, and you choose which part shows with the zoom (0.5x to 3x) and position sliders.

Tips for a great PFP
- Use a photo where your face fills about two thirds of the frame; small faces get lost at 128 px.
- Pick a background color that contrasts with your hair and clothes.
- Use the same picture on every platform so people recognize you.
- For LinkedIn, choose a plain background and no glow; for Discord and gaming, borders and glows work well.

How do I make a profile picture?
Upload a photo, choose a shape, adjust the zoom and position, add a border or background and click Generate. Then download the PNG in the sizes you selected.
What size should a profile picture be?
It depends on the platform. This tool uses 256 px for Discord, 320 px for Instagram, 400 px for X and LinkedIn, 512 px for Facebook and 800 px for YouTube. Uploading a larger image is fine because platforms scale it down.
Can I make a Discord PFP here?
Yes. Choose the circle shape, add a border or glow if you like and select the Discord 256 px size. Discord shows the picture in a circle anyway, so a round crop gives you full control.
Can I download several sizes at once?
Yes. Select all the sizes you need and click Generate. The tool creates one PNG per size, and Download All saves them one after another.
Will my photo be stretched?
No. The photo keeps its proportions and is scaled to fill the shape. Use the zoom and position sliders to choose which part shows.
Can I make a transparent profile picture?
Yes. Set the background to Transparent and the area outside the shape is left transparent in the PNG.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. The profile picture is made in your browser and your photo never leaves your device.
