How these fonts work
These are not real fonts: every styled letter is a separate Unicode character, which is why they survive copy and paste into apps that do not let you change the font. The line is added with a combining Unicode character after each letter (U+0336), and the tool also offers underline, double underline and slash versions.
Tips
- Keep important information (like your name or a link) readable: screen readers may read styled letters poorly.
- Very old phones may show empty boxes for some styles; bold, italic and cursive are the most widely supported.
- Mix styles: one bold word in a plain sentence draws the eye better than a whole styled paragraph.
