How to Change Text Case Online
The WoowTools Case Converter changes the capitalisation and word separators of any text without retyping it. Paste a heading, a list of names or a batch of variable names, pick one of 13 case styles, and the converted text appears on the right, ready to copy. Once a style is selected, the output keeps updating as you edit the input, so you can fix a typo and see the result straight away.
The 13 available case styles
- Everyday writing: Sentence case (first letter capitalised, the rest lower case), lower case, UPPER CASE, Capitalized Case (every word starts with a capital) and Title Case, which keeps short words such as a, an, and, as, at, but, by, for, if, in, of, on, or, the, to and via in lower case unless they start the title.
- Programming: camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, CONSTANT_CASE, kebab-case and dot.case.
- Just for fun: aLtErNaTiNg CaSe and iNVERSE cASE, which flips every letter.
Each style card shows a live example, so you know what you will get before you click.

Tips for accurate results
- Convert between code styles: camelCase, PascalCase and dot.case split words on spaces, underscores and hyphens, so user_first_name becomes userFirstName in one step. snake_case and CONSTANT_CASE split on spaces and hyphens; kebab-case splits on spaces and underscores.
- Existing camelCase is treated as one word. To turn userFirstName into snake_case, first separate the words with spaces.
- Punctuation is kept. Commas, full stops and apostrophes stay in place, so remove them before generating identifiers, or clean them up with Find and Replace.
- Sentence case works on the whole block. It capitalises only the very first letter and lowercases the rest, including names and later sentences, so use it for single sentences, headings or button labels, and re-capitalise proper nouns and acronyms afterwards.
- One line at a time for Title Case lists. Capitalized Case and Title Case split on single spaces, so paste one title per line and each line keeps its line break.

Frequently asked questions
How do I convert text to uppercase or lowercase?
Paste your text, then click UPPER CASE or lower case under Choose Case Style. The converted text appears instantly and can be copied with one click.
What is the difference between Capitalized Case and Title Case?
Capitalized Case capitalises every word. Title Case also capitalises every word except short words like a, an, the, and, of, in, on and to, unless the word starts the title.
Can I convert snake_case to camelCase?
Yes. camelCase and PascalCase split words on spaces, underscores and hyphens, so user_first_name becomes userFirstName directly.
Why does Sentence case lowercase my names?
Sentence case capitalises only the first letter of the whole text and lowercases everything else, so proper nouns, acronyms and later sentences need to be re-capitalised by hand.
Does the case converter remove punctuation?
No. Punctuation stays where it is. Remove commas or full stops first if you are creating variable names or URL slugs.
Is my text stored anywhere?
No. The conversion happens in your browser and your text is never uploaded or saved.
