Lakh and crore

Switch to the Indian system to write amounts as lakh and crore, with the digits grouped the Indian way (12,50,075). Choose INR to get “rupees … and paise only”.

For cheques and legal documents

Cheque style adds the currency and “only”, the common way to stop anyone adding to the amount. Pick UPPERCASE if your bank prefers it.
