How to transcribe audio to text

Tips for an accurate transcript
- Record close to the speaker and away from fans, traffic and music.
- Choose the language if the clip is short or mixes languages.
- Split very long recordings: files up to 25 minutes are supported. Trim longer ones with the MP4 to MP3 converter.
- Proofread names and numbers: AI transcription is very good, but not perfect.
Your privacy
Before anything is sent, your browser extracts the audio and shrinks it to a small mono file, so even a large video uploads quickly. The audio goes over an encrypted connection to our speech engine, is transcribed and then deleted. We do not store recordings or transcripts and never use them to train models.
